Overview
Auto Lap automatically triggers a lap every time you pass a specified location or travel a preset distance.

Set Up
- To set up Auto Lap on a:
- Edge 205/305
- Press 'mode' to access the 'Main Menu'
- Select 'Training'
- Select 'Auto Pause/Lap
- Select 'Auto Lap Trigger'
- Forerunner 205/305:
- Press 'mode' to access the 'Main Menu'
- Select 'Training'
- Select 'Training Options'
- Select 'Lap Lap'
- Select 'Auto Lap Trigger'
- Edge 205/305
- Select 'By Position' or 'By Distance'
- By Position
- Lap Press Only - Triggers the lap counter each time you press the lap button and every time you pass that location again. Note: the lap counter locations by 'Lap Press Only' delete when the activity is reset. (lap data is saved, but the locations are deleted)
- Start And Lap - Triggers the lap counter at the GPS location where you press the 'Start' button and at the locations where you press the 'lap' button, and every time you pass these locations again. Note: the lap counter locations by 'Start And Lap' will be delete when the activity is reset. (lap data is saved, but the locations are deleted)
- Mark and Lap - Triggers the lap counter at a specific GPS location marked before the ride and at any location during the ride where you pressed the lap button, and every time you pass these locations again. Note: only 1 'Mark Position' can be specified before the activity. A new 'Mark Postion' will replace the previous. Unlike Lap Triggered Positions, the 'Mark Position' is saved and will remain until history is deleted or replaced with a new 'Mark Postion'.
