The Summary section of the Dashboard displays the most relevant values from each section. These are overall statistics that give you a general overview of your activity. Here is a sample. The definitions for each of the terms are below.

- Moving Time (h:m:s) - Total amount of time in motion.
- Distance (mi) - Distance traveled from start to finish.
- Overall Speed (mph) - Average velocity for entire activity.
- Moving Speed (mph) - Average velocity of participant while in motion.

Map and Elevation
The Map and Elevation Previews display your Route with a Map Background. While the Map Preview displays your Route in two dimensions with a background of a street, satellite or hybrid map, the Elevation Preview displays the vertical dimension of your Route with a graph of your altitude vs. distance. These previews are designed to provide a quick and easy reference to your geographic position during your activity. If you are interested in exploring your geographical data more, the Map Player provides an interactive viewing and simulation tool for your activities.

About the GPS Signal.. You might notice, while navigating the Dashboard, that there are some irregularities in either the data presented, or the route. Sometimes the GPS device loses the signal to the satellites, causing extreme values or positions to be acquired by the device. This will show up as "fly-aways" on the route, and as extreme values in the Data Window. MotionBased makes efforts to catch these anomalies and prevent them from entering into the calculation of your data and route, but some values will continue to elude the filters. Note the GPS Signal Quality at the bottom of the Data Window before continuing.
