Digest
From MB Wiki
The MotionBased Digest is the place where all of the activities are stored. The Digest may be a single person's activities accessible by the [My Activities (http://trail.motionbased.com)] link or it may everyone's public activities accessible by the [TrailNetwork (http://trailnetwork.com)] link on the MotionBased top level navigation.
The great thing about the Digest is that you are capable of storing all of your activities in a single place without worrying about organizing them upfront. Since each of the activities are categorized by you in the Inbox or automatically by the system (like location or time of day) there are many ways you can choose to organize your activities later when you want to review something specific.
To better understand summarized effort you should use the Reports section of the Digest.

Totals Row
The Totals Row is the final row in the table view that adds up or averages values that are displayed in the table.
Totals Row Sums
Values that are cumulative values (such as distance, elevation gain, elevation loss, etc) will show a value in the Totals row that is the sum of all values displayed in the table for each column.
Totals Row Averages
The digest may show values that are averages such as average speed, average moving speed, max speed and average heart rate. The value displayed in the Totals row for that column is calculated using a simple average (the sum of all the rows divided by the number of rows where a value appeared).
Note: A weighted average would be more appropriate when the value in the column is an average, however, the technology used to build the table does not allow for the calculation of weighted averages. We are looking into a way to provided weighted averages in the totals that will not degrade the performance of the system. Simple averages are most appropriate for averaging columns that represent a min or max.
