What are the system requirements for the MotionBased Agent?
Currently, the MotionBased Agent is available for PCs running Windows 2000/XP.
Mac users can upload with the Web Agent.
Where can I download the MotionBased Agent?
You can download all MotionBased software at the main Download page (http://www.motionbased.com/support/download/view.mb?tile=support.download.agent).
Does the MotionBased Agent require an Internet connection?
No. You can run the Agent without an Internet connection. If an Internet connection is NOT present, the Agent will store your activities until one is present. At that time, you will need to click on the "Send Queued Activities' icon or link.
What countries are supported by MotionBased?

Why don't you support all countries?
We intend to support the globe. Full global coverage should be available in 2005. Because we automatically determine the location (city, county/department, state/province, and country) for each activity, we must geo-code the entire world -- which takes time. In addition, we must work with our map providers to ensure that we are portraying the most accurate maps.
How much does MotionBased cost?
MotionBased has two account types: MotionBased Lite and Standard. MotionBased Lite is FREE with some limited access and features. MotionBased Standard ranges from $7.95 - $11.95 per month depending on your billing plan. What is SVG?
SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) is an open-standard vector graphics language with exciting, high-resolution graphics including such sophisticated elements as gradients, embedded fonts, transparency, animation, and filter effects, using plain text commands.

What is GPS?
Global Positioning System (GPS) is the core technology being used for MotionBased applications and services. GPS satellites, 24 in all, orbit at 11,000 nautical miles above the Earth. They are continuously monitored by ground stations located worldwide. The satellites transmit signals that can be detected by anyone with a GPS receiver. Using the receiver, you can determine your location with great precision.
What is WAAS?
WAAS stands for the "Wide Area Augmentation System". WAAS is an FAA-funded project designed to improve the overall accuracy and integrity of GPS signals. Although if you have battery issues, using the "Battery Saver" mode instead of WAAS will save battery power.
Is there a way to edit multiple activities without having to open the Dashboard for each on?
Yes. You can change up to 5 activities at a time.
- From the Table View of your Digest, check the boxes of the activities you want to change.
- Go to the "More Actions" drop down menu.
- Toward the bottom of the list, select "Activity Options".
- It will then open multiple Activity Option screens where you can edit your activities.
Why do you automatically name the location?
We auto-name the location for each activity for consistency within your Activities and the TrailNetwork. By subscribing to a common nomenclature, it will be easier for you to search through activities at MotionBased -- no guessing as to where it took place.
