Filters

Filters are a great way to find exactly what you're looking for from your Digest and the TrailNetwork. Users with MotionBased Standard may then choose the Saved Reports option so that your favorite searches are at your fingertips.

Search

You may create keyword searches within My Activities and TrailNetwork to refine the list of activities displayed in the Digest.

Of the Filters, the Search function is the most basic. You can search by using anything from Activity to Username. Using this Filter will add your search criteria to the "Filters" on Quick Filters and Advanced Filters.

Quick Filters

Quick Filters allow you to refine the list of activities displayed in the Digest of My Activities and the TrailNetwork. Quick Filters differs than Search by using pre-defined fields to initiate the query rather than free form keywords.

By allowing you to add a time frame to your search you'll be able to narrow the focus and find Activities quickly. It also offers a Keyword search option. As you begin entering text a drop down menu appears with a list of search choices. Utilizing the Quick Filters will also add your choices to the Filter for the extended search.

Advanced Filters

In addition to Search and Quick Filters, you may refine the listings displayed in your Digest of My Activities and the TrailNetwork to the specific criteria. Advanced Filters do not provide the auto-suggest functionality of Quick Filters. However, you have a greater flexibility of search with more standard search criteria.

Advanced Filters can be extremely helpful when a keyword search is too generic. Advanced Filters allow you to be as detailed as you'd like with your search. By allowing you to search for Username, Location, Activity Name and Comments in on area you can add more to your search at one time. Please remember that the larger you make your search the longer it will take to render the results.
