How do I update my firmware?

  • Use the Garmin WebUpdater - the most efficient and suggested path to get the latest firmware on your device.

or

  • Download .rgn file - we don't encourage this path, it's more advanced and doesn't check for updates. But if you need a local copy, you can download the Forerunner 305 firmware (unit software) (http://www.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=010-00467-00).
