Norton Internet Security
From MB Wiki
Norton Internet Security has been known to make many web pages not work. You'll also find that it may block the Agent from sending files off your computer.
Blocking the Agent
1. Open Norton Internet Security from either the taskbar or Start->All Programs->Norton Internet Security (Do Not open Norton Antivirus)
2. In the menu on the left click Norton Internet Security->Status and Settings.
3. In the main window pane, highlight Personal Firewall, click the Configure button.
4. In the new window, click the Programs tab, scroll down to MotionBased Agent.
5. In the Internet Access column, click the black triangle next to MBAgent, and choose "Permit All"
6. Click Ok.
7. Restart the Agent, try to Synchronize Activities.
Our blog (http://clarque.typepad.com/mblog/2005/03/norton_internet.html) has a helpful post on this subject that hasn't been transferred to the wiki yet.
If this doesn't work, try the more detailed steps from Symantec. (http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nip.nsf/16c1d01d537bf4d188256d8e0076b346/d58faf5df2c9574b88256f6c0040d19f?OpenDocument&prod=Norton%20Personal%20Firewall&ver=2004%20for%20Windows%2098/Me/2000/XP&src=sg&pcode=npf&svy=&csm=no)
Blocking the Analyzer
Norton Ad Blocker is known to not allow the page to render properly. Check out our blog (http://clarque.typepad.com/mblog/2005/03/the_norton_poli.html) post to better understand how to keep Norton off your back...and ours too.
