Mostly fixing some more bugs. No performance improvements, but we are working full time on making the site run efficiently. Here are some of the big ticket items:

• Weather should work for just about any activity anywhere.
  • We will be running a batch update on the night of 2006-08-17 that will assign weather to every activity without weather.
  • UK temperatures should display.
• RSS Feed syndication is now available for your public activities.
  • Look into your Account -> Profile for the link (http://yourusername.motionbased.com/rss)
  • GeoRSS provides location-enabled feeds if the reader is compatible
• Average Cadence and Max Speed added to Laps
• Pace chart in dashboard is working again
• Email sent in metric should work now
• Added advertising for non-paying customers. paying customers can view it if so desired in view preferences.

8170: Time in Ascent category Percentages are incorrect

fixed a bug in the Dashboard -> Time section where the ascent/descent/flat time percentages where not adding up to the moving time percentage.

7721: Add Warning in Dashboard when Activity not from MB Agent

A warning will now be presented to the owner of the activity when the activity did not get sent to MotionBased via the MB Agent.  Many bugs are introduced when data originated from another program.

8300: Add Search in the header

Added a search input to the site header allowing for searching TrailNetwork, My Activities and help/info.

8054: add average cadence to lap data

Average cadence is now showing in the Lap data of the Dashboard-> Lap section.

8442: Add Opt-In Advertising

MotionBased is starting to advertise.  Paying customers will not see advertising by default, but if they would like to see advertising then they may choose to do so in the preferences.

9092: Display Lap Max Speed in Dashboard

Max Speed is provided by device laps, but was not being displayed.

7939: Pace values are incorrect in Dashboard charts.

Fixed a bug where pace units for pace charts in the dashboard were displaying incorrect values.

8100: Undefined showing up in activity details

Fixed a bug in the new Player where location names that do not have a state or region showed undefined trailing the country.

7104: Importiing Courses failure provides wrong message

fixed a bug where importing a Training Center course file displays a System Error in the Inbox -> Upload Status.  Now it displays Unrecognized Format which is more appropriate.

7956: Pace is displaying 60 seconds instead of next minute.

Fixed a bug where the new Player was displaying 60 seconds instead of 1 minute.  (i.e. 5:60 instead of 6:00).

8005: User RSS does not validate.

added a valid RSS feed that is available for accessing a user's public activities.

http://your_username.motionbased.com/rss will emit GeoRSS for "your_username".  Replace your_username with the username of the activities you wish to syndicate.

8031: World-Wide weather is not working everywhere

Fixed a bug where all activities in the eastern and southern hemisphere wouldn't display weather. All existing activities without weather data will be updated.

8030: UK Weather is not showing temperature

UK weather now shows temperatures for all old and new activities.

8106: Make a link to view Similar Activities

Added a link in the Dashboard Summary that looks in My Activities or TrailNetwork for similar activities (i.e. same location, activity type, event type)

8434: Metric Invitation not Working

Fixed a bug where emailing someone with a metric unit preference was being ignored.  Viewports will continue to ignore this preference and is a known bug.

8879: Sharing Keyword search in my activities goes to TrailNetwork

changed the link in My Activities digest that shares the keyword search.  It will now include the Keyword search and apply the username filter of the authenticated person's activities.

8149: Heart Rate vs. Heart Rate chart doesn't make sense.

Removed a checkbox in the Heart Rate section of the dashboard that use to allow plotting Heart Rate vs. Heart Rate.  Now speed is added in it's place.

8218: Add Help links for Elevation information.

Added help links in the dashboard to the type of elevation that is being displayed for an activity.  GPS, Barometric Altimeter, MB Gravity, etc.
