Overview
The Garmin WebUpdater is a great little utility. Once installed, you simply plug in your Garmin device and the WebUpdater installs the latest firmware. It's just that easy.

WARNING - For some unit updates, it will clear user memory/history. To be safe, it's always a good idea to upload or back up your data before updating.

Download and Install
Before doing a firmware update, download and install the WebUpdater on your computer.
- Download the WebUpdater (http://www.garmin.com/products/webupdater/howtoinstall.jsp)
- The installer will save to the desktop or specified location
- Click the installer icon (on your desktop or specified location) to beging installation
- Unless you specify otherwise, the WebUpdater destination location is c:\Garmin
- Complete installation and lauch WebUpdater if ready to install firmware update.

Update Device Firmware with WebUpdater
The WebUpdater uses the Internet to check for the latest firmware for the connected device, and downloads if necessary. Follow these steps to install the latest firmware on your Garmin Device:
- Connect computer to Internet
- Connect Garmin Device to computer
- Open the WebUpdater utility (WebUpdater.exe). If you get a pop-up saying,"The product is already installed", you're sellecting the installer usually named (WebUpdater_232.exe). This is not the WebUpdater utility you want.
Unless you specified a different destination location during installation, find the WebUpdater in the following folder: C:\Garmin\WebUpdater
- Welcome page, click 'Next':
- Click 'Find Device' if it doesn't auto detect. Choose Device from drop-down. Click 'Next'
- WebUpdater checks Gamin.com for firmware updates:
- You will see either:
- That's it, your device has been updated. Now get out and get tracking:
